This bulletin will be substantially revised and reissued within one month. This bulletin will incorporate the following: . o Potential'adverse health effects historically associated with excessive exposure to asbestos dust and fiber- Asbestos-related disease latency concept will also be covered. o Occupations and production and maintenance processes (typical to Ford) with ' potential asbestos exposures, o Types of asbestos. o Review of DSHA asbestos standard provisicns and control methods in general; i.e., - Ventilation, isolation, enclosure - Vet methods - Work practices, administrative procedures - Vacuuming -- Fersonal protective equipment o Employee Health Services asbestoB training film -- availability, content, etc. o Recommended work practices for: - Pxpecoverers - Brake lining clutch repairmen o Vorkolace air quality standards and monitoring requirements. o Reference to applicable asbestos bulletins, directives; i.e., - Medical monitoring - PSO, Manufacturing Staff Jack, should any other items be covered?
