VINYL CHLORIDE MONITORING - EPSILONGAS
The level of your vinyl chloride excursion exposure on 9-29-86 was 7.50 ppm. You wore a fresh air mask and did not experience this level of exposure to your respiratory system. The area monitor did not show high levels of vinyl chloride around the dock at this time. We, therefore, believe the vinyl chloride is due to trace amounts released at the load arm o-ring seal connection aboard the ship. We will continue monitoring this connection.
You may arrange for medical surveillance with the medical department if you so desire.
