Parker Executive Editor Modern Medicine 84 South Tenth Street Minneapolis 3, Minnesota Bear Mr. Parker: The prospect of writing an article on lead poisoning (incidentally the terra "chronic" in this application is a misnomer for a number of reasons) for Modern Medicine intrigues me, as does any opportunity to clarify some of the confused thinking and writing that has gone into the presentation of this subject. As it happens, however, it is a formidible task to say anything that is worth saying Oh the subject within the limits which you have set. Still worse is the fact that I cannot see my way clear to any additional writing for at least six months. I am months behind in my writing and editorial work, and I simply dare not commit myself further at this time. If you should be willing to have me ask one of my associates to prepare such an article, I'll see what I can do. I can assure you that the task would be well done if it can be done at all.
