Bear Hues,
I heard from Karl Baumler the other day and he tells me that you are still interested to make a Unibestos slab in the United States, I have told him that we are only too anxious to encourage you and to give you all the technical help in our power to enable you to do this.
My reason for writing to you now is that we are having thoughts about producing & pipe section of the Unibestos type in the United Kingdom; perhaps you remember that our Caposite type of pipe differs from Unibestos in that it is lighter, rather softer in texture, less precise dimensionally and without the white finish of the Unibestos pipe,
I have been asked a number of questions about the Unibestos operation but as it is a long time since I saw this, I can only answer them by referring to you - I wonder whether you would mind troubling one of your technical people by asking him to go through the attached questionnaire on which the various points have been summarised.

I should also be grateful for a few sample pipe sections and samples of your processeo fibre and diatomaeeous earth - the exact details of what we require are also set out on the attached sheet.
I an sorry to have to bother you with this - perhaps you will prefer to let me have the name of someone in your organisation with whoa our technicians may correspond on these particular questions.
It la most encouraging for us to hear that Unibestos has been' going so well in the United States and we must congratulate you on getting things moving so quicjtly.
I hope that business generally goes well with you; things here are picking up a little although not as fast as we should like* X believe that the general uncertainty is tending to retard the big capital projects which we need In order to maintain a healthy Insulation business and this tends to deprive us of the long runs on the larger sizes* We are looking forward to a bit more activity on the contracting side* too; this is a particularly competitive area just now*
With all good wishes,
Yours sincerely,
EGAS
