Dear Leila:
As I mentioned to you this morning, on September 6 and 7, Richard Morrison, Regional President of BP's Gulf of Mexico Business, and John Minge, President and CEO of BP America, will each be in Washington and would greatly appreciate the opportunity to come in together on one of those days to meet with Secretary Zinke. They would like to discuss business plans for the Gulf of Mexico and how these could dovetail with the Administration's energy policies.
BP has been exploring in the Deepwater Gulf for three decades and for the past ten years has been the largest energy investor in the Gulf of Mexico. In 2016, BP produced 264,000 barrels of oil equivalent in the Gulf each day. Mr. Morrison and Mr. Minge would welcome the opportunity to come in and discuss a number of issues facing the business and future plans.
Please let me know whether such a meeting would be possible and if there is any additional information that you require. Many thanks for your assistance.
Best regards,
David
