This survey was conducted 26 May and 21 September 1966 It was originally requested by Mr. Lewis Wawro superintendent of manufacturing Printed circuit boards reinforced with fibrous glass and impregnated with epoxy resin or reinforced with alpha cellulose paper and impreg- nated with epoxy resin were drilled on single spindle and on multiple spindle drill presses One single spindle press was equipped with a dust collector but the operator did not use it The other presses had an air jet which removed chips from the drill These drills varied in size from 0.04 inch to 0.10 inch Drilling was not continuous as it was necessary replace drilled to remove boards and to sharpen drills with other ones to be w ; and occasionally Atmospheric samples were collected on pre weighemd embrane filters and final weight was determined in terms of fibrous glass dust The samples collected represent exposures less than the tentative threshold limit value of 5 milligrams per cubic meter of air This room is to be enclosed and an air conditioner installed probably during the early part of 1967.
