Based on discussions with Tom Huffman, Baltimore plant manager, he and Fred Newberger, Baltimore terminal manager, feel that Clayton Mills would be the best person to talk to regarding the alleged conditions of the plants unloading rack in 1980-81. He is currently the Conoco terminal manager in Martinsville, VA. (703 - 632-9761, X2707). He was apparently a driver/supervisor during the period of the lawsuit and would have operational experience and knowledge of the actual conditions. We are still searching to determine if records exist to confirm or refute the delivery dates listed by Plantiff in deposition. Attached to this letter are air sampling records taken during benzene deliveries in 1980-81. This are short-term personal samples taken on Conoco drivers delivering benzene. They should be indicative of exposures any individual would receive during that operation. You may want to ask Mr. Mills about that. I will let you know when we resolve the records in question.
