For the p ast year h is work (u n til past s i x weeks) has been manipulating the degreases using trich loreth ylen e as the so lv en t* This n e c e s s ita te d con sid erab le exposure to the vapors Auto parts were put in to the compartment v ie a crane and the so lv e n t vap orised w ith steam c o ils * They were la t e r removed and a t times d ried w ith a ir hose* He worked a t th is about 6-8 hours d aily* Approximately one time every 2 weeks he entered the compartment to remove the sludge u sin g a c a n iste r type of mask.
