Gentlemen*
I am sending you herewith for such use as It may be to you at once, an Incomplete copy of a report on the status of the tetraethyl lead plants For a number of reasons that have been beyond my control, it has been Impossible to finish the text of this report, and since 1 shall be out of my office for the next ten days or so, I v&nt to put as much of this as I can into your hands promptly. The drawings are being copied, but our draftsman has been unable to work at the job, and it will be some days before they are completed. These drawings will be 'forwarded to you as soon as they have been obtained. ^In the meantime the data from which they have been drawn are" availa ble in the tables which are provided.
*'he report is virtually complete with the exception of the conclusions and recommendations The conclusions are fairly obvious from the running discussion, while many of the recommen dations have been made already* Nevertheless, I shall make it a point to complete these portions of the report at the earliest possible date after my return to my desk. I believe you will find in the data and the discussion an adequate basis for the interpretation of the difficulties that have occurred and of those potential risks that are still hanging over us. It Is for this reason that I have wished to get this material into your hands despite the fact that it is in an incomplete state.
Very truly yours,
:AK ef
