C. A. D'ALONZO, M.D. MEDICAL DIRECTOR EMPLOYEE RELATIONS DEPARTMENT MEDICAL DIVISION WILMINGTON
Dear Dr. D'Alonzo:
This is in answer to your letter of November 8, 1966.
At the Montague Works we have no full time insulators; however, approxi mately 98 per cent of our employees do part time insulating. One per cent' of their time is spent insulating.
The three most common materials used are Unibestos, Kaylo, and Fiber glass. The employees at the Montague plant do no spraying of insulating materials. All spraying is done by subcontractors.
We have had no asbestosis, mesotheliomas, or carcinomas at the Montague Works.
There has been no sawing of insulating materials or removing of obsolete insulating material. When spraying with insulating materials on the out side, no special safety equipment is used. In an enclosed space a respi rator is used.
