Lead Industries Association, Inc. 292 Madison Avenue New York, N. Y. 10017 * Telephone: (212) 679-602 I July 11, 1968 ALL HOLDERS OF ZINC INSTITUTE AND LEAD INDUSTRIES ASSOCIATION COMMITTEE LISTS Dear Mr. \h a j l A RE: GENERAL TRAFFIC COMMITTEE In recent months, the General Traffic Committee considered and prepared an effective statement which was submitted to the Government in protest against a freight rate increase involving both lead and zinc. Since both lead and zinc were involved and since some'seven members of the Zinc Institute's General Traffic Committee represent companies also concerned with lead, it was arranged that the committee's presentation should cover both metals. Concurrently, Mr. Aubrey M. Callis of ASARCO and President of LIA polled the Directors of LIA as to whether the General Traffic Committee as existing through the Zinc Institute should henceforth be considered as covering both metals. The LIA Directors approved the broadened committee scope and attached hereto is a revised listing of the General Traffic Committee as covering both lead and zinc. Will you please place this with your association committee file. JUC/dmm cc: Mr. A. M. Callis pN1fC00000409 N10090 CONFIDENTIAL July 1968 - ; GENERAL TRAFFIC COMMITTEE ZINC INSTITUTE, INC.
