Remarks
Leafing Aluminum Pastes
The coarser grades of leafing pastes produce the most brilliant finishes with the greatest diffuse reflectivity, also the roughest finish. The finer pastes produce finishes with greater specular reflectivity, and a smooth high gloss surface.
7k05 - An all-around pigment for inside and outside use.
TiilO - For paints and varnish base inks and industrial finishes.
7Ul5 - For paints, lacquer and synthetic resin base inks and finishes.

- High diffuse reflectivity - gives films of uniform appearance and
suppressed highlighting on large exterior surfaces; i.e., tanks,,
sheet metal and other structures.

7iiC7 - For pigmenting lacquers and synthetic resin base vehicles.

- Utility grade for maintenance work, structural steel, roof coatings, etc., where maximum brilliance is desired and smoothness is not a factor.
7hCll - Gives high gloss and mirror-like appearance.
7UC12 - ...Meets Military Specification, MIL-L-86U1 (AER).
7iiCl8 - Water dispersible - has special solvent.
7l*C27 - Gives paint film roughened texture and produces films of the high est diffusivity possible.
7hC30 - For product finishes - best metallic and mirror-like appearance obtained from the standard pastes.
7hC32 - Same as 7hC9 - also good for hi-heat aluminum paints.
7ULU - Designed for product finishes and general uses where an extra fine chrome-like appearance is desired.
7UNU - Use is particularly for asphalt roof coatings.

- For Industrial Finishes - has standard lining pigment value with smoothness- and appearance approaching the extra fine lining grade.
7hY3 - A high-pigment volume paste providing high covering with excellent stability yielding a softer consistency.
7hY6 - Same use as 7hC9.

7UC16 - Prevents the formation of gas. One ounce per gallon is recommended.
7UC29 - Best pigment where rust, chemical, salt and weather resistance is desired.
Non'Leafing Aluminum Pastes
Non leafing pigments generally have little effect on the smoothness of the finish, especially in thicker films. However, the coarse types produce mere sparkle, especially in polychromatic finishes. The fine types result in a dull metallic finish.
7U21 - Same as 7lil0 but completely non-leafing.
7U37 - Used for automotive, industrial and decorative finishes.

Aluminum Powders
The same characteristics apply for powders as pastes. They are used where the use of a paste is impractical.
