The order backlog at the Ponca City C&P Plant was 108 units as of March 6, 19S1 versus a backlog of 96 a week earlier. C. B. Cleaver VCM Cars Trinity Industries has completed construction of five of the sixtyone 24,500 gallon 105A300W VCM cars at their Oklahoma City Plant. A total of twenty-seven cars will be completed and ready for service by April 1, 1981. The remaining thirty-four cars will be built, held at Hugo, Oklahoma and will be ready for service by June 1, 1981. All sixtyone of the cars will receive an interior blast and nitrogen purge before being placed in service. The cars are leased by Conoco from Trinity. Conoco Chemicals Rail Car Requirement Rail Operations personnel will meet with Conoco Chemicals on March 13, 1981 to review railcasts run in various business areas to determine revised car requirements.
