LTTTOt TO THE PEOPIXi
Thla letter Im la retard to ALLEH W, STUCK, 5 yeara old, vho expired on April 23rd, 1963, end the cauea of whoee death la being lnveetlgated for the poaalblllty of lead poleonlng fro* paint and/or other caoaea.
although we are chagrined bp thla or any other violent death which brlnge an intlaeljp and to a pera on'a life, thla Office fa happy to report that thla fatality haa not been canted through the uee of a ca--on houaehold paint. In fact, there la nothing that I have been able to learn through a tody and reeearch that would Indicate that there la eufflclent lead or toxic agent In any Interior paint that would lead to a fatality by Inhalation. At a natter of fact, flirther reeearch work by thla Office haa Indicated that loot of the dcathe ao reported In the peat aevaral yaara In other Cltlea have not been aa a direct reault of Inhalation, but have had other contributing or direct caoaea.
