Ur. Bobert A. Kehoe Kettering laboratory College of Medicine University of Cincinnati Cincinnati 19, Ohio
Dear Dr. Kehoe:
Thank you for your letter of June 7, explaining the proposed study of the use of the Vitameter and Yitane in Puerto Blco. This supplements what we discussed at the time of my recent visit to Cincinnati.
Prom your letter it is understood that arrangements will be made with du Pont to see that the tetraethyl fluid is properly mixed and that they will also send a representative from time to time to supervise this mixing, as well as a physician to carry out physical examinations. So, since the use of Yitane will greatly improve the quality of fuel, since there are few automobiles on the island any way, and since your studies in Cleveland, Columbus, and Cincinnati seem to show that there is no appreciable hazard in the use of this material, I see no reason why it should not be carried out and give it my approval.
I should be very glad if you would let me know, from time to time, the results of these studies, for I know that you will have intimate knowledge as to what is transpiring there.
Eest regards
Sincerely yours.
