The 500 and 5000 mg/L test solutions were cloudy with a surface film and undissolved test material present. At approximately 24 hours, the 500 and 5000 mg/L test solutions were clear and had undissolved test material stuck to the sides and bottom of the test vessels, and a surface film. The remaining test solutions and control remained unchanged throughout the study. Mortalities were 0,0,0,0,100, and 100 % in the 0,0.5, 1.0,50, 500, and 5000 mg/L test concentrations, respectively. Twenty percent of the fish in the 50 mg/L test solution exhibited a partial loss of equilibrium approximately 24 hours after exposure started. At approximately 48 hours after exposure started, all fish in the 50 mg/L test solution appeared normal. The 96-hour LC5o, based on nominal concentrations and mortality, was between 50 and 500 mg/L. All water quality parameters were within acceptable limits. CONCLUSIONS H-22762 exhibited slight toxicity in a 96-hour, unaerated, static acute test using fathead minnows, Pimephales promelas.
