Dear Dr* Deuel: In accordance with my promise I am sending herewith a copj of the last analyses on your men together with the Deport of the British Committee on Ethyl Gasoline. I am sending also for your laboratory assistant a copy of Bulletin No. 460 which has in it some methods which may interest him. When he has the opportunity he might try them out. I have marked the method that Is most likely to be of importance on page eleven. I advise some degree of scepticism as to the propriety of the conclusions ar rived at in the Bulletin. The results on the men studied, may be seen to be low, with a few exceptions which I have underscored. It is particularly interesting and enlightening to see that the excretion in the faeces (which Indicates the degree of exposure fairly adequately) is low with one exception. These results verify those obtained later by examinations of the blood smears of the workmen with a very Interesting accuracy* It would be interesting to see what was your record of stippling for these men at the time these samples were obtained.
