Training & Development Proc Chlorinated Methanes METAL CYLINDER SAMPLING PROCEDURE #0007 JULY 10, 1993 OONFTDFfs/TTA, 00 008097 C:\PROCED93\SAM00007.DOC Training & Development Proc Chlorinated Methanes METAL CYLINDER SAMPLING PROCEDURE #0007 PROCEDURE Step Action 1 Remove the VCO caps, install the cylinder with the dip tube up and block in the bypass valve. 2 Open the bottom valves first allowing the cylinder to pressure. 3 Next open the top valves slowly, allowing the sample to flow through the cylinder back to the process. 4 After a few minutes the cylinder should be full and all valves should be blocked starting with the top valves first, (dip tube end) followed by the bottom valves. 5 After all valves are blocked remove the cylinder and replace the VCO caps and open the sample bypass valve. 6 Return the cylinder to the lab for analysis. 7 Vent unused cylinder contents to the vent header after analysis is complete and place cylinder on nitrogen purge under hood.
