a return visit by a hygienist should be made to investigate the use of this material and the relation of the air sampling results to blue asbestos. This visit should be a priority visit.

A priority request has been initiated within this Service for a hygienist visit to confirm the use of blue asbestos at this plant. The current TWA's for asbestos in Ontario are 2 fibers and 0.2 fibers greater than 5 microns in length per cc of air. It is believed that the gasket machine operator was cutting gaskets containing blue asbestos, however, full details will be available pending receipt of a hygienist's report on the proposed priority visit.
