Mr. Ogea has received a summons for jury service (Jury No. 30) in your court beginning Monday, May 10, 1982. I would request your consideration in excusing Mr. Ogea from this jury call since his services at our plant will be greatly needed during the period of May 14 through June 8. During this time the VCM Plant will be in a scheduled maintenance turnaround period which requires all plant personnel to be available for work such that the turnaround can be safely and efficiently completed. In addition to this, since the turnaround is run on a 24 hour per day, 7 day per week schedule, a considerable amount of overtime pay is involved for each employee. If Mr. Ogea were not available for this period he would suffer a personal economic loss by not being able to earn maximum wages during the turnaround period.
