Job Order 3723 Repair South Ball Mill
Testing of the automatic lubrication system continues, using a thinner lubricant. Extending the ball mill housing to the floor will be done during the rebricking of the kiln fire box.
Job Order 3862 Purchase Knife Clamps for Drum Dryer
Knife clamps are on order. Order delayed due to the manufactures plant being on strike.
Job Order 3952 Purchase and Install 30 H.P. Air Classifying Mill
Installation of the automatic mill feed control system has been completed. This provides an even feed to the mill for grinding. This job order will be closed out next month.
Job Order 4359 Install Gutters and Down Spouts on Building 19.Roof
This job will be started as the weather permits.
Other Job Orders
Job orders for the rebuilding of the litharge mill, the purchase of a new walkie lift truck, and the purchase of the C02 tank have been submitted.
Job orders, for retaring the building 19 roof, the purchase of a new carbonate pump, and repair of the kiln are in progress.

OSHA The manufacturer of the building 20 P&S dryer has been contacted with regard to rebalancing the dryer and improving door and panel seals. Installation of a sample door in the side of the P&S dryer is complete. Two air-supplied hoods have been obtained for special maintenance jobs. Miscellaneous Regular safety, energy, and maintenance scheduling meetings are being conducted by the writer. A meeting between the Metropolitan Sanitary District of Greater Chicago, Mr. Cyprian Cox of Wayne EPD and the writer was held on March'27, 1979, to submit results of its effluent testing program. A conciliation agreement was reached with the M.S.D.G.C. in which the company will return with further results of it's testing program. The writer attended a week long industrial hygiene seminar in Orlando, Florida.
