The scope of the meeting is to open a dialogue with the mining and energy industries in Montana. RA Doug Benevento will participate. This event is adjacent to an energy summit organized by US Senator Steve Daines (MT). Much like the oil and gas round table that was held in Denver in February this round table discussion is meant to build relationships with the regulated community and foster an open dialogue on permitting, enforcement and policy. If your schedule would allow I think you and/or your designee presence at the 4:30 - 6 p.m. discussion on 5/31 would be appreciated and welcome. Hope to see you soon. I appreciate you thinking of and including us, and I expect we will want to participate. Do you have any more information on the purpose and goals of the mining/energy roundtable? That would help us to know how who best to send. If it's still being fleshed out, no problem, and thanks for involving us early. I'm awaiting scheduling of another meeting that may preclude my participation in Billings, but we have plenty of smart(er) people to choose from, who might be able to attend. Thanks again, and we look forward to hearing back from you. Tom Sierra Club v.
