Our other joint cement plants have recently begun a program of placing an asbestos caution label on their joint cement bags. In view of this, and the hang-up that developed in Memphis in our transition to asbestos free All Purpose, Mr. Lehnert has directed me to request your plant to also begin labeling the bags.
Each bag should be stamped on the front with the warning that I have enclosed. Since this is only a temporary measure, a rubber *4:&3'-s$g>tuaip'tfiSiiiie of the enclosed warning; will be sufficient. 'i

We feel that the problem which occurred in Memphis is minor.
However, it has slowed our progress. We are presently making
minor inprovements on the formula. When we have finalized the
formula revision, we would like to have you extend the shipment
of the asbestos free All Purpose into additional markets.
