They both have wording that implies 1) our existing protocols are inadequate, and 2) this study will improve our existing protocols. My counter to that is 1) we do not know if our protocols are adequate today or not. The purpose of the study is to give us more information to determine if there are more diseases (e.g. non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma) at a given exposure level and what that exposure level would be - it's not until after the study that we will know if our existing exposure levels are "adequate". and 2) nothing in this study will "help the Benzene business unit improve its protocols... ". This study will give us information, which we can use to determine what, if any, improvements are needed. I may be nit-picking, but sure don't want a document out there implying we know are protocols are already inadequate. love the links - didn't know (or forgot) they were out there. This study will help clarify previous assumptions regarding benzene health risks and will also help address some recent questions about benzene hazards..
