The blood is collected on a piece of filter paper, then analyzed. There is a charge of $1.50 per member for the analysis to cover the cost of the technician who runs the test. (The charge to companies and non-union members is $6.00). The International will supply the lancet for the finger-prick and the filter paper i and shipping materials. Since the dangers of lead poison.ng are so groat, we %-v strongly recommend that all workers with potential lead exposure participate in this program. It is the easiest all around to, handle a group of samples together, so all members affected should submit samples sirautaneously. REMINDER: The international Union can also run urine and hair analyses for mercury content.
