On February 28th I returned to China, acting in good faith after being advised in your February 23rd letter that the Benzene Health Research Consortium had unanimously approved my proposal for a funding extention on January 29th, 2007. Through conversations with committee members I agreed to move forward to conclude the necessary contracts in a timely manner.
However, it is impractical and unreasonable to expect me to conclude these contracts in 2-3 weeks time, and at the present I am unable to access funds for the laboratory or to extend employment agreements.
In accordance with your prior advice please inform me at your earliest convenience whether or not you intend to fund and continue this project.
