About the event
The Forum will focus on per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), a broad set of che renowned for their unique properties and used in many consumer and industrial applicat Due to their tendency to persist in the environment and accumulate in the human body a chains, PFAS have become a matter of global concern.
During this two-day event, a wide range of stakeholders, including governments, industr governmental organisations (NGOs) and academics, will come together to discuss vario topics related to PFAS. These topics will cover areas such as country risk management approaches, innovation challenges for finding safer alternatives, effective risk communic strategies, monitoring techniques, waste management and approaches to managing contamination.
The Forum will be held as a hybrid event, with the option to attend both in-person at the in Boulogne-Billancourt and online.

People wishing to request to attend the event in person are invited to fill in the pre-regis form by Friday 26 January 2024 (midnight CET) or earlier if capacity is reached. Ple note that in-person registration is subject to approval; and priority will be assigned on a come, first-served basis due to space limitations.

This report complements the "Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances and Alternatives in C Paints and Varnishes (CPVs)" report (2022), summarising the commercial availability an current uses of PFAS and non-PFAS alternatives in CPVs. The 2023 report compiles ha profiles for the identified substances including hazard classifications from authorities and industry, and assessment outcomes on persistence, bioaccumulation, environmental an hazards from authorities.
