Dear Ms. King:
In answer to the request for additional information by the plaintiffs' con sultant, I have enclosed the "working" lists provided by Monsanto for recruiting cohorts for examination of those listed. We felt it inappropriate to include those born in 1951 or later in the not exposed group. The remaining subjects were asked to participate by letters and postcards sent by Monsanto in Nitro, West Virginia. Of the 431 subjects from these Vists who were potentially exposed (EC, E-N, I-N|, we examined 263 or 61%. There were 376 subjects who were not exposed, of*which we examined 173 or 46%.
We are unable to answer the questions raised about microfilms and Monsanto work histories since we do not know what was provided to the plaintiff. ^We know that we did not have Monsanto work histories nor Monsanto medical records on air the participants in the study.
If there are any further questions about the participation rates, please contact us.
Sincerely,
RRSrcaf Enclosures
