A report describing the emission estimates and transition costs over time (i.e. evolution per year and total over the assessment period) under the different restriction sub-scenarios, including a description of the underlying assumptions and uncertainties, representations in graphical forms; 2. An Excel sheet with the underlying calculations. The Excel sheet should allow the modification of the input data (e.g. PFAS annual emissions rate, length of review period per sector of use) to automatically generate the corresponding emission estimates and transition costs. Report on: Tonnages of firefighting foams manufactured/imported/exported for: o PFAS-based foams (including a breakdown per main types of PFAS substances concerned, and especially for PFHxA-based foams) o fluorine-free foams (no breakdown needed per type of substance), Associated economic value Number of actors concerned (manufacturers/importers) and their market shares, distinguishing the ones manufacturing/importing only PFAS foams, fluorine-free foams or both; Estimated costs for manufacturers/importers for a full transition from PFAS firefighting foams to fluorinefree foams 1. PFAS waste disposal methods, especially for firefighting foams; 2. the methods for cleaning stationary or mobile PFAS firefighting foam equipment. The report will describe the techniques, including: their availability across the EEA, including (for waste disposal) their availability at industrial scale to handle large amounts of PFAS firefighting foams; their technical performance (i.e. percentage of PFAS reduction/residual PFAS concentrations) and conditions of uses/constrains); their costs (per kg or litre of PFAS waste to dispose of or per equipment to be cleaned); identity and concentrations or ratios of the substances generated by the process and their estimated emissions in the environment; available case studies; overall evaluation of pros and cons of the technique; references to the sources of information any other information of interest.
