While officials .at Grace conclude that certain proprietary' information is contained in these materials, they will not now object to the release of this information since EPA already'.made this informoadtciioonn publicly available in May, 1982. Unfortunately, the p>: ro*--7 (prietary information released in May pursuant to a reqluest under FOIA was not submitted to Grace for prior comment^ \ ^This will confirm our agreement by phone that you, on behalf of EPA, will not make publicly available any additional materials on vermiculite without giving Grace the opportunity to comment as to whether the materials contain proprietary information. \ As you know, W. R. Grace & Company has provided substantial information to EPA and its designated consultants to assist EPA in its review of vermiculite with an understanding that proprietary information would be treated confidentially.
