Please join the National Alliance of Forest Owners (NAFO) for our tenth annual Capitol Hill reception on Tuesday, April 4th, 2017 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM in the Kennedy Caucus Room, 325 Russell Senate Office Building.
Senators Angus King (I-ME) and Jim RIsch (R-ID)..who lead the newly created Senate Working Forests Caucus..are our honorary hosts for this year's reception. They will be joined by their Congressional colleagues, private forest owners, and top leaders from the forest products industry, conservation, and recreation communities. Together, we will celebrate the contributions of private working forests to job growth, economic recovery, outdoor recreation, and the environment.
NATO members represent more than 80 million acres of private working forests in 47 states, supporting 2.4 million jobs throughout our nation. NATO is committed to the long-term stewardship of America's private forests and to sound, bipartisan forest policies benefitting forest owners and the broader public. Private working forests help drive the U.S. economy by providing millions ofjobs while producing a broad range of goods and services that improve quality of life in every home and community. They are a unique national resource.
