The claimant's attorney stated he had all the paint literature which recommends a respirator. He mentioned he might have a good products- liability case. I informed Rick of the above. Will await Dr. Gray's response before proceeding. If it is received within a short period of time I will send a letter to the claimant's attorney advising him that Dr. Van Ordstrand releases the claimant for work with the use of a cartridge mask. May 7, 1984, I telephoned Dr. Gray's office and was informed the doctor dictated a response to my 4/17/84 letter on 4/27/84. The doctor's office informed me a secretary from our office requested we give the letter to the claimant so that he could deliver it to me. No one from our office called Dr. Gray's office. It probably was someone from Horwitz's office since Horwitz knew I had requested a report from Dr. Gray. Dr. Gray's office will send me a copy of the letter. I te]ephoned Tom Locker and learned a mask will be purchased for the claimant. If he fails to return to work, it will be considered a voluntary quit.
