The air samples collected at the recently encapsulated rear storeroom in the Accounting Offices at 1500 Teaneck Road, Teaneck, New Jersey on July 30, 1979 have been analyzed for airborne fibers. The analytical technique of phase contrast microscopy as recommended by NI0SH and required by OSSA for asbestos fiber counting wns used. Very low fiber counts were observed.

These results Indicate a safe working environment. However, it is recom mended that disturbances of the sprayed ceiling and structural members be avoided. The encapsulant coats the outside surface of the insulation but does not penetrate it. Therefore if the ceiling is disturbed, airborne fibers may be released.
