Dear Dr. Kehoe*
______I was delighted to have your letter relative
to Nr.
an employee of Standard Oil
Company. I have the following information on IT . Patterson.
I sawhimtwice, on the 8th of November, and on the 21st of November, 19U7. He was referred to me by his local physician, Dr. Price H. Duff of 1110 Buchanan Street, of this city. In my opinion, Mr.^jBHj^ft^had a contact der matitis involving the hands and forsarm^^^ie gave a history of this having developed after he had cleaned out a gasoline tank which had been unused, and I think, idle for several years. The second time 1 saw him, he had gotten considerably better but had developed some secondary infection in the area of dermatitis. It 'was not I who had the urine examined for lead, but I do not knowwhether it was Dr. Duff, or Dr. Norrissey -who had this done.
I amaware of the features of lead poisoning which you point out, and it was no thought of mine that he had systemic plumbism frhra having been in contact with gasoline.
I amsorry that I cannot be of more help to you.
Sincerely yours
