Dear Dr. Robertson, I am sending you a 16 ounce sample of Monsanto's Aroolor 1242 which you requested in your letter dated September 14, 1970 to Dr. R. Bnmet Kelly. The solubility of Aroclor 1242 in water is very low, about 200 ppb at 25 C. Usually it is introduced into water as a concentrated solution in acetone. Aroclors have a disturbing property of forming stable in visible emulsions and of plating-out on solid surfaces such as the container wall.
