The enclosed analytical reports are part of 3M's ongoing Decatur, Alabama site monitoring program . One details levels of Perfluorooctanoic Acid (PFOA) and the other levels of Perfluorbutanesulfonate (PFBS), Perfluorohexanesulfonate ( PFHS), and Perfluorooctanesulfonate ( PFOS) in groundwater samples collected from two (2) residential wells located near the 3M Decatur, Alabama production facility . 3M is submitting these repo rt s under TSCA section 8(e) . Detectable levels of PFOA, PFHS, and PFOS were measured . In one well, the levels averaged 0 .30 ppb for PFOA, 0 .08 ppb for PFHS, and 0 .61 ppb for PFOS . In the other well, the levels averaged 2 .6 ppb for PFOA, 0 .77 ppb for PFHS, and 9 .2 ppb for PFOS . Levels of PFBS were either not repo rted due to quality control failures or not detected . Please note that although the repo rt s are entitled "interim", they are audited final repo rt s . The "interim" designation has been applied because the entire Decatur site monitoring work-plan is ongoing .
