We regret to inform you that Mr.Jy-Greensmith, who ha3 been a Partial Disablement Compensation case since June 1944, died on the 6th.inst. and an inquest was held in Leeds to-day. This was attended by Mr. Collins of Jackson Sc Co. who will no doubt be reporting on the proceedings, the verdict being to the effeot that death was due to a primary cancer of the Peritoneum, and the Medical evidence stating that the mild AabestoSspresont' was not a contributory faotor.lt therefore appears that there can be no claim on behalf of the dependents. ' We enolose a sohedule giving details of Greensmithrs service,and the Compensation he has received, the payment of which has now ceased.
