ADDITIONAL MSDS REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCT SALES TO THE U. S. GOVERNMENT
VISTA
Attached is a proposal to require additional content and distribution requirements for MSDS's for hazardous products sold to the federal supply service. Specifically, the contract number, part number, national, local or temporary stock number, activity control number and complete specification references will have to be included on the MSDS. Also, an MSDS will have to be sent with each shipment.
In order to understand the impact of this proposal, if finalized, I need you to notify me of any existing government product sales, and which products are involved. This regulation is proposed to be effective June 7, so I need your responses as soon as possible.
