Cattellt I have just noted in a letter from Dr. Haag, Secretary of the American Society of Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics, that you have succeeded D r . W a l l a c e as editor-in-chief of the Journal. It so happens that Dr. Deichmann of this Laboratory has had an exchange of correspondence with Dr. Wallace, with reference to a paper on DDT. I also wrote Dr. Wallace recently on the matter, and I have no doubt that my letter is available in the files. I have no wish to revive the matter, since actually my letter did not require any reply from Dr. Wallace unless he wished to do so. On the other h a n d , it has occurred to me by reason of your direct association with this problem, you might wish to reconsider the publicatioh of his paper. If tnat should be the case. We, should be glad to f orward it to you. On the other hand, if you are satisfied to let the matter rest as it now Is, I shall be quite content.
