My dear Ernest:- Returning to you herewith copies of the minutes of an initial meeting of the Chemical Advisory Committee to the Department of Commerce, say that it is action of this kind which strengthens admiration for the Administration of our Government, and emmpels respect and recognition of all the elements that, go to make up the masses -- capital, labor, politics in any of its forms and the common people, no matter what thoughts of destruction they may possess. The minutes cite Dr. Julius Kifeein, Director of the Bureau of Foreign andDomestic Commerce, as rendering an opinion that Mr, Hoovers one best contribution to the Government has been in bringing Government and Industry together and, in reality, put the Department of Commerce under the direction of Industry. What could be more logical, but it requires a man "the size of a Hoover" to recognize it and stand the "gaisf" such time as it requires for organization and the accomplishment of the achievement, after which the people, through the press, will wake up to the fact of the good work done by Mr. Hoover and hi loyal corps of assistants.
