Gunderson Asbestos Determination Please analyze the enclosed sample to determine if it contains asbestos. The sample was taken from the ceiling of the Houston Works Engineering building. It is a sprayed-on coating over concrete approximately 1/8" thick and covers the entire ceiling. The coating is essentially intact with a few very small scrapes where something has bumped it. The building was constructed in the. late 50's. We are asking for the determination in anticipation of possible regulation which would require us to remove or encapsulate asbes tos coatings in buildings occupied by people.
