Bobert A, Kehoe University of Cincinnati College of Medicine Cincinnati Ohio My dear Dr Kehoet Some work has been done in the aviation field in the last year or so on the use of an injector for injecting aniline (or a 60% solution thereto in butyl and ethyl alcohol) into aviation gasoline to give it addi tional anti-knock value at take-off and under full load* The apparatus* I understand* is so designed that aniline is bled into the gasoline stream proportionally to the throttle opening which is approximately proportional to the need for anti-knock value* Tie are probably going to be asked by the developers of this scheme for a license under our aniline patents* I believe that you have some fair ly strong feelings about the'use of aniline even from such a device as this* and I will appreciate your opinion as to what precaution should be taken if aniline is so used* Very truly yours. g e/l r j Ck 0015400
