Goman opened our discussion by informing me that Jones Blair had completely eliminated asbestos from all of their products. Asked how they had gotten around not using it in their muds and sprays, and Goman advised that they no longer make them, but have them privately packaged outside with their label. Found out later in the day that the private packager was Proko. Discussed our resin grade series and determined that they use both Brand x and y in various formulas. I was a little surprised when Goman asked for a sample of 244 to look at in their lab after his comments on how they had eliminated asbestos from their formulas. A 244 brochure was left with him, and a sample is in the mail to him. Goman advised that I shouldn't get my hopes up too high as we really have to have some outstanding improvements over silica before they would consider switching because of the health aspect,.
