Albritton I would like for you to be aware of several instances where someone has been tampering with our mobile cranes. The most recent case was on April 27 when there was indica tion that someone had tampered with our 15-ton Drott. On earlier occasions we have found that cranes had been operated. This is of particular concern to us due to the potential hazards involved. Bruce has reviewed this with his group and has been unable to get any leads. He feels that it is being done by those outside our department. We plan to continue a program of close observation, but would also like to have your security forces aware of this and to aid in curbing these unauthorized operations by reporting any unusual observations that they ( may make. / /mj L.
