As the largest consumer of energy in the U.S., DoD has significant equity in the resiliency, reliability, and security of energy TS&D infrastructure. Port Fourchon has significant petroleum industry traffic from offshore Gulf oil platforms and drilling rigs as well as the Louisiana Offshore Oil Port pipelineessential to U.S. security interests. Port Fourchon's primary service markets are domestic deepwater oil and gas exploration, drilling, and production in the Gulf of Mexico.
