The purpose of the meeting was to review past practices, present new goals and exchange ideas on new projects.

It was pointed out that with the improvement in shipping facilities, production will remain high in the months ahead. EDC cracking will supply a large part of the VCM made for 12 to l8 months, during the acetylene shortage. Most of the goals will relate to increasing EDC process ing capacity and reducing bottlenecks in HCl clean-up.
A discussion of the study being made by Engineering as related to Improvements in 22D10 and drying columns were held. Other studies are in process and reports will be made as received. Capacity tests are planned in connection with the Engineering study; all parts of VCM will be called upon to help.
After the Chief Operators were commended for winning the Riant Housekeeping Award, a discussion was made on how the unit could keep the award. In keeping with a housekeeping program and in spection of the VCM area twice a month will be made by a Chief Operator (or operator) and Supervisor. A clean work area is es sential for safety.
