Dear Mr. Davis:
The attachment to this letter vas given to ns by a ford safety engineer who reoently attended a conference on asbestos. He was told that these contractors are the only ones approved by MDPH to encapsulate, top-coat, or remove asbestos from industrial plants, schools, churches, etc.
1. Does MDPH approve, or otherwise endorse, asbestos contractors?
2. If so, what criteria are used to approve or disqualify contractors?
3. If so, are these the sole approved contractors?
Tour assistance regarding this issue would be appreciated.
Very truly yours,
Jb
