Dear Ken:
Asbes tosis: L'erev/ether
I am finally back from Australia where I had an opportunity to discuss the article in question, lierewether said that he wrote it very hurriedly. It certainly is a dilly and, as you uo, I take strong exception to some of his statements. Y.'hy or how he comes to many of his conclusions is beyond me. Even at that, however, I continue to like him.
Sorry to have missed you when last you visited Saranac Lake. Come again so that we might discuss I-Ierewether in a more personal way.
Paul tells me of another storm which is brewing in Quebec, this time concerning a case of asbestosis with cancer. I am most anxious to get on with the survey of all data available on the subject before the storm really breaks. As you know, fishing is always best just before rather than Immediately after the storm. Paul is ready to help and I know that you are also more than willing to contribute.
Sincerely yours
