Avenue New Orleans, Louisiana June 28, 1946 Southern Alkali Corporation Box 900 Lake Charles, Louisiana Gentlemen: Re: Lease dated March 22, 1946 Plancor 264 Lake Charles, Louisiana Luring the course of discussions leading to the transfer of accountability of certain property from Wer Assets Administration to Southern Alkali, as set forth in our letter to you dated June 25, 1946, which discussions took place at a conference held June 25, 1946, at the plant office of 0. L. P. Plancor 264 between representatives of Southern Alkali and War Assets Administration, it was requested by Mr* Weeks (of Southern Alkali) that War Assets Administration inspectors be assigned to guide and assist in segregating and placing material as it is torn out from its original installation in the course of the Removal Program provided for in the Lease dated March 22, 1946, between WAA and Southern Alkali. It was further requested by Mr. Weeks that the inspectors receiving this assignment be delegated with authority to render decisions progressively with respect to the aforementioned phases of the Removal Program, and from time to time relieve Southern Alkali from account ability for portions of the property identified in the Agent's Inventory of December 31 1945, on the basis of which the original transfer of accountability was made, and which property is being turned back to WAA by Southern Alkali. The War Assets Administration agrees to this and is assigning War Assets Administration's inspectors Pike and O'Neal who will follow the dismantling developments and will from time to time determine that components of original installations of machinery and equipment have been delivered to them, and relieve Southern Alkali of accountability accord ingly. This agreement and designation of authority to Messrs.
