Carlson-- Ah ordinance amending the Housing Code, Chapter 54 of the Saint Paul Legislative Cods, controlling the use of paint containing lead. The Council of the City of Saint, Paul Does Ordain: SECTION l That Section 54 09 of the Saint Paul Legislative Code is hereby amended by adding the following ItnTur.ae: (5) USE OF PAINT CONTAINING I LEAD, (a) No exterior area of any l dwelling or building or accessory] thereto shall have exposed accumu-t latcd paint containing more than one i per cent (ITc) c: lead If said paint' Is blistered, cracked, baked, scaled or chalked away. (b) No perron shaLl use white lead paste paint for painting me exterior of any dwelling or building or acces sory thereto. SECTION 2 That Section 54.10 is herebv amended , by adding the following language: (81 USE OF PAINT CONTAINING LEAD, (a) No person sr.ah use oamt containing lead pigment for painting the Interior or any dwelling or dwelling unit. (b) No porch, interior door, win dow. or trim surface below a level four feet from the floor shall have exposed accumulated camt contain ing more than one per cent (19c) of lead. * (c) No interior wall, floor, or ceil ing, or Interior door, window, or trim surface above a level four feet from the floor, shall have exposed accumulated paint containing more than one per cent ill* i of lead If said paint is blistered, cracked, flaked, scaled or chalked away.
